Finally, after weeks of anticipation, the best architecture of the year can be revealed: Architizer is thrilled to announce the winners of the 2021 Annual A+Awards!<\/span><\/p>\n

For the ninth year running, Architizer’s A+Awards has attracted breathtaking creative and technical talent from around the globe, with thousands of projects being submitted for consideration. After a rigorous and highly democratic judging process, the top accolades for the world’s largest and most international awards program for architecture have been decided.<\/span><\/p>\n

After a year of unprecedented social and environmental challenges, the theme of this year’s A+Awards \u2014 <\/span>Architecture for a Changing World <\/b>\u2014 celebrates the architects and designers whose work strives to create a more resilient built environment for the years to come.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 2021 winners include<\/span> innovative projects \u2014 both built and conceptual \u2014 by internationally renowned firms and emerging practices alike. In its 9th season, the A+Awards received over 5,000 entries from 100+ countries, including countless pioneering projects that respond to the most pressing global challenges of today \u2014 from climate change and urbanization to rising inequity and the COVID\u201319 pandemic.<\/span><\/p>\n

Notable jurors included Professor Lesley Lokko <\/strong>(Founder & Director, African Futures Institute), Tom Kundig<\/strong> FAIA, RIBA, (Principal\/Owner, Olson | Kundig), C\u00e9line Semaan<\/strong> (Founder & Executive Director, Slow Factory Foundation)<\/span>, Aric Chen<\/strong> (M+ Museum, Design Miami), Fernanda Canales<\/strong> (Founder & Director, Fernanda Canales Arquitectura) and many more. A Jury-selected Winner and a Popular Choice Winner were awarded in each category, with over 400,000 votes cast by the voting public.<\/span><\/p>\n
