POST CITY – “this is how a city should be!“…The motivation to participate in Architizer A+Award is a very simple one. We are of the opinion that urban development has moved in the wrong direction in recent years! Theoretical urban concepts have to be translated into real framework conditions again and urban planning has to be thought “simply”; again!
The main focus must be on asocial and sustainable interplay of living and working, in order to enable a holistic view in densely developed urban quarters against the background of an urban development worth living in.

In the literature on urban development it has been pointed out for many years that’s mall-scale design should be promoted, but the much-publicized “urban future concepts”; always deviate clearly from this objective! We can no longer see the images where future scenarios are sketched with an endless sea of skyscrapers, at the foot of which the individual human being looks like a small ant.
THE CITY MUST BE REMAIN INSIMPLE MIND . . . a CITY MOSAIC!The project study STADTMOSAIK considers the city as a carpet, a structure of spaces of possibility, while at the same time trying to establish a connection between the spatial qualities and the pattern of a city. While these characteristics are real and can be observed, trends and scenarios are on a fictitious, theoretical level and are only real if they are actually implemented.
In this context, the STADTMOSAIK is a guiding urban planning idea to make the city simple again. This is exactly where we see the innovative approach, in the apparent structures of a city of old patterns, and the real potential in its implementation! A seemingly simple, in the sense of prevailing urban concepts, but at the same time radical rethinking..
