Anthony Basketball Training Center at Syracuse University, designed by SOM and implemented by architect of record King + King Architects, LLP and construction manager Hayner Hoyt Corporation, has been designed to support the university’s ability to recruit and train top athletes in the competitive world of NCAA Division 1 athletics.The building is named for Carmelo Anthony, who helped lead Syracuse to the 2003 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship and now plays professionally, and who provided the lead donor gift.

The 54,000-square-foot building includes two NCAA regulation-size basketball training courts, a strength and conditioning room, an athletic training suite, hydrotherapy pools, teaching spaces for game day preparation, a state-of-the-art data and technology center, offices for both coaching staffs, and complete locker-room and athlete lounge facilities for both the men’s and women’s teams.

The building’s entrance doubles as the “Syracuse Basketball Hall of Fame” – a spacious and light-filled trophy hall for the SU Basketball Program.
Lined with aluminum and glass trophy cases, large graphic banners, and projected displays, the space allows screened views into the practice courts.
