One of the most interesting things I spotted during last year’s Architectural Digest Home Show was a prototype for a black fridge interior from Jenn-Air — one that was incredibly sophisticated, practical, and, frankly, masculine. The prototype is now in production as Jenn-Air’s Obsidian black interior option. While the black interior works well for those who like to keep their fridge as tidy and presentable as a museum exhibit, that’s not required to appreciate the way the black background makes all the other colors in the fridge dramatically pop out. Multi-point LED lighting throughout the fridge emphasizes the metallic accent in the dark charcoal pigment that makes the interior sparkle.

The refrigerators include 36-Inch Built-In Two-Door bottom mount fridge/freezer models along with 36- and 42-inch fully-integrated French Door bottom mount fridge/freezer models. All models are panel-ready and feature a specially designed articulated hinge that installs for a fully-integrated and flush appearance.
