17. NEW HOW architects

NEW HOW is an architectural studio, which builds on the experience of the previous architecti.cz office and the independent work of its founding members, architects David Zámečník and Filip Havliš. The predominant part of the work is residential and commercial architecture, but in addition, the studio was given the opportunity to design several projects in a mountain environment. During its existence, the studio has received several awards in architectural competitions and their projects and realizations have been published in various professional media. So far, the studio’s greatest success has been winning an international architectural competition for the New Kežmarok Cottage in the High Tatras in Slovakia.

16. Apropos Architects

Apropos Architects is an international architecture studio based in Zurich, Prague and The Hague. We are a team of architects with broad international experience and projects in different parts of Europe. We met during our studies and founded our architecture studio after the first won competition in 2016 in a team comprising Michal, Tomáš a Eva. Since then, new great team members joined our team.

11. 1:1 lab

1: 1 lab is a platform at the Department of Architectural Design II, Faculty of Architecture, CTU, which deals with design-build projects. Design-build projects are an alternative to standard teaching of architecture, this method allows students not only to design and draw a building, but also to realize it with their own hands. Walter Gropius already had a practical approach to teaching when, in his 1939 statement “Training the Architect”, he stressed that “the young architect of today needs to be trained in the use of tools and materials” rather than being tied to “blood-less drawing board and the phantom of traditon ”.

10. Denisa Strmiskova Studio

Denisa Strmiskova Studio focuses on spatial design of various forms and typologies, incorporating multidisciplinary approach uniting interior architecture, decoration and creative consultancy.
The studio was founded in Prague in 2015 by Denisa Kubickova Strmiskova, graduated at Stage design studio at Academy of Performing Arts. The projects of the studio include cafés and restaurants, hotels, retail spaces, private apartments, exhibition displays and artistic installations. 8. Prodesi/Domesi

In 2002, architects Pavel Horák and Václav Zahradníček founded the joint studio Prodesi, which specializes exclusively in timber buildings. Because they like to follow through with what they start, three years later they founded the company Domesi, which deals with complementation of their projects. Both companies help their clients with every single step of the project, from securing a building permit to handing over the keys to their new house. 7. SKULL studio

S K U L L studio is a Prague based studio founded in 2020 by photographer Bet Orten & sculptor Matěj Hájek is a laboratory of thoughts, notions, concepts and visions that are turned into matter by objects of any character. Sculptures, playgrounds, water elements, folly architecture or any other space interventions followed by strong images and videos are the bones of the skeleton on who’s top is a smiling S K U L L. Shake your bones!
Matěj Hájek graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in 2010 (sculpture studio of J. Róna). He is one of the founding members of the Czech artistic and activist group Ztohoven.

5. Next Level Studio

Next Level Studio is Czech young progressive studio which tries to release from everyday commonality. The Studio seeks unordinary solutions with high emphasis on functional and esthetical quality. 3. ATELIER 111 architekti s.r.o.

We have known each other quite a long time. Our first collaboration as ATELIER 111 architekti s.r.o. dates back to our studies at Faculty of Architecture of Czech Technical University in Prague. Our first success, a special prize in an open architectural competition for treatment of urban space in the city of Tábor in 2002, gave us passion and motivation for further projects. In following years our studio began to expand. Through cooperation with experienced colleagues, we enriched our professional skills.
